History:

1980-1994

Alan Burlock contracted to purchase many residential and vacant properties in Melbourne & Brisbane suburbs, and was able to achieve many permits, and re-zonings for higher and better uses, including commercial uses, this gave significant increases in the value of the property, the properties with the increased value were then on sold for a profit.

The company specialised in amalgamating fast food, supermarket and petrol filling station sites obtaining the permits and on-selling the sites to the multi national operators.

 From this success and experience the company moved into the development field, contracted the properties, as he had done previously, obtaining the development consents, but then undertaking the construction and completing the development, establishing the tenant, and then either land banking the property investment or selling the tenanted property to an investor.

 Alan Burlock developed considerable construction experience constructing many projects, which were owned either personally or in partnership with other parties most notably with Ron Brierley's Industrial Equity Limited (“IEL”).

 In all cases Alan Burlock sourced the property, co-ordinated the design of the project with the architects and engineers, Alan and his in house team constructed the commercial projects.

 

1994 – 2000

In 1995 Alan Burlock moved to live full time to Beverly Hills in Los Angeles USA, during that period Alan became one of the largest makers of infomercials in the USA, making 32 infomercials (30 minute TV ads aired on national USA cable networks), which included products like Robert Kiyosaki’s “Rich Dad Poor Dad”.

Simultaneously, in partnership with USA residents Alan successfully undertook a number of condominium developments in the Santa Monica area of Los Angeles.

In 2002 Alan Burlock returned to Australia, and instigated and completed a number of residential developments.
